Technological Innovations and Firm Internationalisation

This paper explores the relevance of technological innovations for internationalisation manufacturing firms. It differentiates between two innovations: eco-innovations and generic-technological (i.e., intelligent manufacturing). By pooling Flash Eurobarometer-415 -433 surveys, we use a broad firm-level sample 4954 European non-European (the US Switzerland) Appling Heckman selection model, findings indicate that positively affect decision firms to internationalise whilst showing no significant impact on level international operations.
